IPAs & Hop-Forward Beers
Maine brewers helped define the hazy New England IPA style nationally, and we keep pace with the releases that matter. We carry the full IPA spectrum — hazy, West Coast, double, session, and cold — from Maine producers and the national names pushing the style forward. If you want to understand the difference between a hazy and a West Coast IPA, ask our cicerone. That’s exactly the kind of question they enjoy.
Lagers & Pilsners
Not everything needs to be a flavor bomb. We carry a strong selection of well-made lagers and pilsners — craft producers doing it right alongside classic European imports worth revisiting. Czech pilsners, German helles, Mexican-style lagers, and American craft takes on the style. Underrated, endlessly drinkable, and always cold.
Stouts, Porters & Dark Beers
Barrel-aged imperial stouts, dry Irish stouts, robust porters, milk stouts — we go deep here, especially in fall and winter when Maine weather demands it. This is a category where patience pays off: some of the best bottles on our shelf are stouts that have been aging in bourbon barrels for a year or more.

Seasonal & Limited Releases
Some of the best beers in Maine are only around for a few weeks. Oktoberfest lagers, winter warmers, fresh-hop harvest ales, summer shandies — we track the releases, stock them when we can, and post new arrivals to Instagram as they land. Follow us so you don’t miss them.
We also get allocations of limited and rare beers that don’t last long. Ask when you come in — our staff knows what just landed and what’s worth grabbing before it’s gone.

Our Portland store has a certified cicerone on staff — the beer equivalent of a sommelier, someone who has formally studied brewing, ingredients, style history, and food pairing at a professional level. Whether you want a recommendation, a food pairing suggestion, or just want to understand why that NEIPA tastes like a smoothie, we’re happy to talk beer.
